NEW RELEASE!! If I Only Knew by Corinne Michaels ~ Sarah A’s Review

If I Only I Knew, an all-new heartwarming and sexy standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels, is live!

My life was perfect – until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me.

My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed.

Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite.

I can’t stand him.

He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all. I’ve had enough unpredictability for one lifetime, thank you.

But soon enough, we’re fighting less and laughing more. He’s there for me when no one else is. And those good looks aren’t the only panty-dropping thing about him.

If I only knew what to do about it . . .

Amazon | B&N | Apple | Kobo | GooglePlay | Audible

After reading Not Until You, I was pretty sure Milo couldn’t be redeemed.  He seemed to be so completely obsessed with himself and his own happiness, with little to no regard to anyone else.  After what Danielle had gone through, I couldn’t begin to see how he could be a good match for her.  Corinne completely redeemed Milo in If I Only Knew, more than I thought possible.  Milo and his straightforward personality were exactly what Danielle needed at a point in her life when she felt like nothing would ever be okay again.  If I Only Knew was a witty, emotional office romance, with a dash of enemies-to-lovers thrown in.

I loved that Danielle refused to back down to Milo from the first moment they met.  It set a precedent I was impressed by, Danielle was no shrinking violet, and I’m not sure she would have had the appeal to Milo – or me – if she didn’t display that spine of steel when confronted.  Danni had more than her share of struggles to face, and that’s definitely where her strength came from, but she also needed someone solid and more removed from the situation than her friends were to support her.  Milo fit that role excellently.  I loved how effortlessly they fell into a relationship neither of them were expecting.

Milo surprised me at every turn.  From the reasons he’d always acted the way he did, to his unwavering devotion to Danielle and her kids, to his acceptance of taking on any responsibility thrown his way, he was incredible.  He had grown so much from his first appearance in Not Until You and through If I Only Knew, his arc was phenomenal and made this story outstanding in a way I hadn’t anticipated.  Coupling his growth arc with Danielle’s (and Ava’s, if I’m being completely honest) healing arc, I couldn’t have asked for a more satisfying way to conclude this series.

If I Only Knew is the final book in an unnamed series of standalones by Corinne Michaels.  The series is about a tribe of four women who are closer – and more important to one another – than some families.  Each book is about a different woman and can definitely be read without reading any of the others.  I don’t think it’s possible to read one without wanting to read the others, though, because each of the women is so phenomenal.  If I Only Knew is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Danielle and Milo.

New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestseller Corinne Michaels is the author of nine romance novels. She’s an emotional, witty, sarcastic, and fun loving mom of two beautiful children. Corinne is happily married to the man of her dreams and is a former Navy wife.

After spending months away from her husband while he was deployed, reading and writing was her escape from the loneliness. She enjoys putting her characters through intense heartbreak and finding a way to heal them through their struggles. Her stories are chock full of emotion, humor, and unrelenting love.

Permission by TM Frazier ~ Sarah A’s Review

PERMISSION, the highly anticipated conclusion of the dark and gritty Perversion Trilogy from USA Today bestselling author T.M. Frazier is available now!

War breaks out in Lacking. The streets aren’t safe.

When an unexpected person from my past arrives in town, I’m forced to make a choice between the life I’ve always wanted, and a life I never knew I could have.

I didn’t know how strong I was until I met Grim.

But am I strong enough to live without him?

Amazon | B&N | iBooks | Kobo

When I read the original blurb for Permission I was leery; I didn’t want Emma Jean to live the life that was implied for her in it. I was so happy to find it had changed and I think Permission was the perfect way to conclude Tricks and Grim’s story.

I fell more in love with Tricks and Grim’s relationship than I already was after the first two books. What they have is unbreakable, even when they’re faced with horrific circumstances, when lesser humans may have turned their backs or at least had a moment of hesitation they never wavered, particularly Tristan.

Permission had quite a few twists I didn’t see coming. I’m searching my memory to see if there were hints, but I’m coming up blank. TM Frazier did an exceptional job of playing her cards close to her chest in this series. I loved the reveals; I loved the implications it had for Emma Jean and her made family, I just loved all of it.

After the intensity of the first two books, Permission seemed downright calm. There was still plenty of action, so much going on in everyone’s personal lives, the gang war, so many other things to keep me glued to the pages, but the book had a decidedly different feel to it. The resolution of all the horrors the characters had suffered in the series hung thickly in the air. I knew, from the moment I started the first page, this was it, for better or worse, after finishing Permission nothing would be the same for Tricks, Grim, and all the people of Lacking. It was a heady thing, watching each card fall, and it was so very satisfying to see how they dealt the hands they’d been dealt.

Permission is the third book in TM Frazier’s Perversion trilogy. This trilogy is a single story told in three installments and must be read in order. I’m desperately hoping for more books in this world, partially because I loved this trilogy so, and partially because I need to know the fates of a few of the secondary characters. Permission is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Tricks(Emma Jean) and Grim(Tristan).

Grim’s expression softens. “Let me make you feel good. Let me erase some of the hurt.” He pulls me against him for a searing kiss that makes me want nothing more than for him to be inside of me. Injuries be damned.

His lips release me all too quickly. The gentle night breeze licks across my wet mouth, cooling my lips.

Grim continues to my neck, sucking behind my ear.

I dig my fingernails into his back as he trails his talented tongue down my shoulder then across my chest until he’s staring at my naked breasts. “Perfect, beautiful tits,” he whispers with such awe it almost sounds like a prayer.

Sucking my nipple into his warm mouth, he toys with it between his teeth and tongue.

I kick out my legs, needing more. So much more.

“Shhhh…I got you, Tricks.”

I groan into the night as he moves to worship my other nipple. I’m in ecstasy and frustrated all at the same time.

He lowers his lips down my body, trailing his lips across my skin, down past my navel. When he reaches my shorts, he tugs at the button. I lift my hips, to assist him in ridding the barrier of clothing between us.

“Tell me if I hurt you,” he murmurs, his breath creates a tingling sensation against my already sensitive and swollen clit.

I can only nod my response because his lips are on me again, silencing my words and consuming my thoughts. He’s kissing me passionately in my most intimate place, parting my pussy lips with his tongue and lapping me up like I’m the most delicious morsel he’s ever tasted. He groans against my core.

I’m holding onto him for dear life, my fingers splayed in his hair to anchor him to me and me to the ground.

Grim massages my inner thigh with one hand while he works a thick finger inside of me with the other. Gently, too gently. There is no pain, only Grim and pleasure and everything I want in the world right here between my legs.

I tense as he sucks my clit into his mouth. A feeling of pure electric heat sizzles throughout my body. My insides ache as the pressure builds and builds from a spark into an uncontrollable raging fire.

He lifts away slightly, teasing me by blowing softly across my wet pink folds. I shutter so hard my teeth chatter. Arching my back, I pull on his hair, greedily and shamelessly grinding myself against his perfect face.

He must like my reaction, because he groans against me, fucking me with his fingers and licking me over and over again like a crazed animal. As if making me come is all that’s important in this world.

“I’m close,” I tell him, pulling his hair even harder, egging him on.

He lets out a guttural groan, flattening his tongue against my clit, stroking it up and down and back again.

The tension I feel within me is borderline pain, twisting me from the inside out. I’m about to burst through my own skin.

Grim lightly bites my clit before sucking it into hard his mouth one last time.

I come apart on a roar of my own, screaming his name into the night. I contract around his tongue, coating it in a flush of wetness I can feel dripping down my ass cheeks as I writhe against his face. The pleasure smashes into me over and over again, shattering me into pieces like a hammer against glass.

For the very first time in my life, I’m happy to be broken.

Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of the night their family was forever altered.

But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. VERITY TEASER THREE.jpg

Excerpt:

“What are you wearing?” Corey is staring down at my shirt, perplexed, just now noticing it despite having spent the last fifteen minutes with me.

I look down at my oversized shirt. For a moment, I forgot how ridiculous I look. “I spilled coffee on my other shirt this morning and had to change.”

“Whose shirt is that?”

I shrug. “Probably yours. It was in my closet.”

“You left your house in that? There wasn’t something else you could have worn?”

“It doesn’t look high fashion?” I’m being sarcastic, but he doesn’t catch it.

He makes a face. “No. Is it supposed to?”

Such an ass. But he’s good in bed, like most assholes.

I’m actually relieved when the conference room door opens and a woman walks in. She’s followed, almost comically, by an older man walking so closely behind her, he bumps into the back of her when she stops.

“Goddammit, Barron,” I hear her mumble.

I almost smile at the idea of Goddammit Barron actually being his name.

Jeremy enters last. He gives me a small nod that goes unnoticed by everyone else.

The woman is dressed more appropriately than I am on my best day, with short black hair and lipstick so red, it’s a little jarring at nine thirty in the morning. She seems to be the one in charge as she reaches for Corey’s hand, and then mine, while Goddammit Barron looks on. “Amanda Thomas,” she says. “I’m an editor with Pantem Press. This is Barron Stephens, our lawyer, and Jeremy Crawford, our client.”

Jeremy and I shake hands, and he does a good job of pretending we didn’t share an extremely bizarre morning. He quietly takes the seat across from me. I try not to look at him, but it’s the only place my eyes seem to want to travel. I have no idea why I’m more curious about him than I am about this meeting.

Amanda pulls folders out of her briefcase and slides them in front of Corey and me.

“Thank you for meeting with us,” she says. “We don’t want to waste your time, so I’ll cut right to the chase. One of our authors is unable to fulfill a contract due to medical reasons, and we’re in search of a writer with experience in the same genre who may be interested in completing the three remaining books in her series.”

I glance at Jeremy, but his stoic expression doesn’t hint at his role in this meeting.

“Who is the author?” Corey asks.

“We’re happy to go over the details and terms with you, but we do ask that you sign the non-disclosure agreement. We would like to keep our author’s current situation out of the media.”

“Of course,” Corey says.

I acquiesce, but I say nothing as we both look over the forms and then sign them. Corey slides them back to Amanda.

“Her name is Verity Crawford,” she says. “I’m sure you’re familiar with her work.”

Corey stiffens as soon as they mention Verity’s name. Of course we’re familiar with her work. Everyone is. I hazard a glance in Jeremy’s direction. Is Verity his wife? They share a last name. He said downstairs that his wife is a writer. But why would he be in a meeting about her? A meeting she isn’t even here for?

“We’re familiar with the name,” Corey says, holding his cards close.

“Verity has a very successful series we would hate to see go unfinished,” Amanda continues. “Our goal is to bring in a writer who is willing to step in, finish the series, complete the book tours, press releases, and whatever else is normally required of Verity. We plan to put out a press release introducing the new co-writer while also preserving as much of Verity’s privacy as possible.”

I absolutely love everything that Colleen Hoover writes! Verity is way different than the romance novels she normally writes and is filled with suspense and some messed up situations. This book will have you on the edge of your seat the entire ride. This book does contain some sensitive subject matter so please read with caution.

Lowen Ashleigh gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she is asked to be the ghost writer for author Verity Crawford who was injured in a car accident and is not able to finish the book series she is working on. Verity’s husband Jeremy insists she stays with them so she can read through all of Verity’s notes so she can get started on the next book. She is absolutely shocked when she comes across an autobiography that Verity has written about her life that contains huge secrets that would tear Jeremy apart. Lowen suspects some crazy things are happening in the house but isn’t able to prove anything. Will she be able to get to the bottom of all the suspicious things happening or will she get spooked and decide to move out and move on with her life?

I loved the connection between Lowen and Jeremy. Their relationship starts in a messed up way at the beginning of the book but the strong attraction is hard to deny. Jeremy knows he should fight his feelings for Low since he is still married to Verity but he finds it very difficult to do. How will he feel about his wife when he finds out all the secrets she has been hiding?

This book contains so many messed up twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. I’m thankful I read it during the day or I am certain I would have woken up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. I love that Colleen stepped out of her normal genre and I hope that we get more from the twisted side of her!

Side Hustle by Emily Goodwin ~ Sarah A’s Review

When Scarlet Cooper takes a new job as a nanny, she assumes she’s going to work for the rich couple who hired her. But instead of pulling up to their million-dollar estate, she finds herself on the front porch of a humble farmhouse, looking into the eyes of dark and brooding single dad, Weston Dawson.

It’s bad enough that Weston doesn’t have a fortune to charm out of him, but he’s also a cop.  After marrying his high school sweetheart only to have her up and leave weeks after their baby was born, Weston has sworn off women for life. All that matters now is taking care of his son, Jackson.

If anyone can break down the tough exterior of the former soldier, it’s Scarlet. But just when she’s close to getting exactly what she wants, she’s faced with a whole new challenge, which just might be the biggest con she’s ever pulled: pretending she doesn’t love him.

Before Side Hustle I’d read maybe one nanny romance – the one I had read felt a little predatory, so I never picked up the trope again. After reading Side Hustle – which I picked up because I loved the Dawson family series so much after Quinn’s story – I feel like I have been missing out on a really sweet and fascinating trope for years. I will definitely be adding nanny romances to my list.

At first, I kind of wanted to hate Scarlet because I loved the Dawson family so much and the idea of anyone trying to take advantage of any of them made my blood boil. However, she was so flawed, so broken, had been left so devoid of any real love or affection in her life I couldn’t help but care about her. Once I saw how she was with Jackson, and eventually Weston, I was smitten, and I knew I had to forgive her for whatever actions she’d taken or planned in order to survive up to that point in her life.

Weston had pulled at my heartstrings in Quinn’s story, so I knew once I got to know him and Jackson more thoroughly I would be a goner, and I was right. The love Weston had for his boy, and the things he was willing to put up with and sacrifice to make sure Jackson was happy and well taken care of made me melt. Weston’s childhood hadn’t been nearly as traumatic as Scarlet’s, but he was no stranger to abandonment and trauma, and I felt like it was those shared experiences that made them such a great fit.

I absolutely adored this story and the slow(ish) burn of their romance. Scarlet and Weston were beautiful together, but it was when they were both with Jackson and loving that little boy that my heart became overwhelmed with affection for them. I hope I get to see a lot of them in future books in this series because they may have overtaken Quinn and Archer for my favorite Dawson couple, for now, I reserve the right to change my opinion as the series continues.

Archer has always wanted what he can’t have—Quinn Dawson. Since the moment he saw her, he’s been denying his feelings for her, ignoring the void in his heart he knows only she can fill.

Everything about them was wrong, the kind of wrong that felt so right. But none of it mattered. Not the terrible timing. And definitely not the mess it would create if Archer made a move on his best friend’s baby sister.

It was supposed to be one night, but one night is all it takes to make everything more complicated, and they only have nine short months to sort it all out.

No, none of it mattered. Until it did.

Getting pregnant was the last thing Quinn thought would happen. But now Quinn’s focus is to start the family Archer’s always wanted. The hard part should be over, right?

Archer will not let the one thing he always wanted slip through his fingers. As events unfold, Archer finds himself going to lengths he never thought possible. After all he’s done to keep Quinn…will he lose her anyway?

Possession by TM Frazier ~ Sarah A’s Review

POSSESSION, part two of the dark and gritty Perversion Trilogy from USA Today bestselling author T.M. Frazier is LIVE!

The story of Grim and Emma Jean continues.

War is on the horizon.

We’ve come so far.

We’ll have to fight for what we have.

Or die trying.

Amazon | B&N | iBooks | Kobo

I legit have no words to describe the roller coaster of emotions I went on in this book. Possession was horrifically gut-wrenching and heartbreaking; there were also moments of pure love and devotion. Tricks and Grim’s story is not comfortable, but the lives they’ve been thrust into aren’t easy, and anything else would be a disservice to who they are.

Possession crossed all kinds of lines a lot of readers have a hard time with, and it did so unapologetically. There was no skirting around exactly how awful the things the characters were experiencing were, the things they saw, the things they did. It made for an incredibly powerful and rich story, one that made me obsessed with Tricks and Grim having their retribution and redemption. While I can’t possibly comprehend living in the way the people of Lacking do, I felt great empathy for all of those people who ended up in this world and had no choice in it.

The only wish I had for this book is that someone had taken at least one more editing pass at it. There were quite a few errors, from extraneous words to missed capitalizations that need to be addressed.

Possession in the second book in TM Frazier’s Perversion trilogy. The Perversion trilogy is a continuous story told in three parts and must be read in order: Perversion, Possession, Permission. There have been a few cameos by characters in Ms. Frazier’s other series, but it is not necessary to read any other series before starting this one. Possession is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Emma Jean (Tricks) and Grim (Tristan).

Bethany nods to the box, again pressing her finger to her lips. “We will know more when you’re assigned a judge. Until then, we will just have to wait,” she says loudly. She points with her eyes to the item in my hand, then leaves.

The object I’m holding is a rock with a piece of paper attached to it by a rubber band. I pull the paper free and flip it over. It’s a note.

Stay by the glass, motherfucker! Whatever you do, don’t turn around. PS-You look nice today. Prison blue suits you.

The one-piece scratchy uniform I’m wearing is bright orange. What the fuck is all this about?

I peer out from my cell. There’s no one in the room now. Not even the janitor. The security camera high in the corner across from my cell, the one that’s usually pointed directly at me, is now facing down toward the floor.

Whatever you do, don’t turn around. Okay, so I won’t turn around completely, but curiosity leads me to risk a glance over my shoulder. It’s just a wall. An empty blank wall. BOOM. BOOOOOM!

An empty blank wall…that just exploded.

The sound resonates through my eardrums. I duck and cover my head with my hands as pieces of cement rain down into the cell. Dust coats my hair and the back of my neck. After a few beats, I stand, waving away the plumes of the aftermath.

Through the debris, I can just barely make out headlights. It’s a truck with a battering bar attached to the hood.

“All aboard! This train is leaving the motherfucking station. Literally!” shouts a voice. I can’t see who it is through the windshield which is shrouded in what remains of my cell. I don’t have time to ask any questions of the mystery voice.

There’s no time to question anything.

The passenger door flies open. Two officers appear behind me. One fumbles with the cell keys while the other shouts at him to move faster.

It won’t be fast enough.

I leap into the truck and slam the door. The tires spin in place for a few seconds until they finally grip the concrete. My head hits the headliner as we reverse over the broken bricks until we’re clear of them and are able to make forward motion. It isn’t until we’re through the field and on the road when I finally get a good look of my getaway driver.

“Preppy?” I ask. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

Preppy may not be part of any official organization, but he runs a tight ship over in Logan’s Beach. Belly and I have worked with him and his friend King a few times in the past. I haven’t seen Preppy since before he was thought to be dead only to later be rescued from an underground cave where he was held captive for the better part of a year.

“Grim? Fuck, I thought I was rescuing Bear. Get the fuck out,” he teases. “Just kidding. If Bear was locked up I wouldn’t help him escape. That fucker could use some ‘me time’ to contemplate his grumpy nature.”

He holds the wheel with one hand and straightens his signature bowtie with the other. His white dress shirt is rolled up to his elbows revealing arms heavily covered with both tattoos and angry jagged scars.

He lights a joint and tugs on the wheel, making a sharp turn off the road into a dark heavily wooded area. When we’ve made it in far enough to be fully camouflaged by trees and brush, Preppy kills the engine.

He passes me the joint, and I take a much-needed hit, holding the smoke for as long as I can before slowly exhaling.

“Thanks, man. How the fuck did you get sucked into this?”

Preppy types out a text on his phone, then sets it back in the console. “Bethany. I owed her a favor. She got my boy, Bo, out of some trouble recently.”

“Isn’t your kid like ten now?” I ask. “What kind of trouble can a ten-year-old get into that needs Bethany’s kind of help?”

“He’s eight,” Preppy corrects. “And my boy catches the kind of trouble most kids his age don’t know is out there to catch. My girls are easier. Twin toddlers. Miley and Taylor. The three of them, along with their mama, are the loves of my fucked-up life. Bo’s a good kid. He’s just…well, his brain arrow doesn’t exactly shoot straight. Its target is usually more…”

Preppy shapes his hand like an arrow aimed at the windshield, then changes the aim to me.

“Human.” He drops his hand. “And the incident in question wasn’t that bad. It may or may not have had something to do with the unfortunate disappearance of a certain…”

He waves the rest of his sentence away like there’s a gnat flying around his head.

“Let’s just say he’s grounded. VERY grounded. For life. Or like a week. Minimum a few days. Or a day. Maybe, an hour or two. Poor kid. Maybe, I’ll just take him to the movies.” He sighs. “You’ll see. Wait until you’ve got some sex trophies of your own. You’ll understand.”

Kids. I’ve never thought of myself with a kid before. I picture Tricks holding a baby in her arms. Our baby. Much to my surprise, I don’t fucking hate it. Although, the thought isn’t helpful to my current situation and only makes me more impatient and enraged.

One thing at a fucking time.

Sirens wail through the night. Preppy remains cool and calm like he’s driving a parade float down main street, and not at all like he’s running from the law with a fugitive.

Blue and red flashes light up the woods. After a few seconds, the vehicles pass, and both the lights and sirens fade off into the distance. “That’s our bat signal. Let’s get you the fuck outta here so I can get home to the missus and eat her cookies.” Preppy pauses, probably realizing his odd choice of words. “I do actually mean cookies. Dre makes a mean batch of chocolate chip.”

I stare silently out at the passing trees.

“I’m going to eat her pussy, too. You know, after the other kind of cookies. Just so we’re clear.”

“Thanks, man. We’re clear. And if you ever need anything and I’m not dead or serving time, I’m there,” I assure him. I mean it. I owe him a debt. A huge one.

“Hhhhmmm,” he considers, taking the joint I pass him. “How do you feel about babysitting?”

I smile at his joke until I look over at Preppy only to see he’s not doing the same.

In fact, it’s the only time in my life I’d ever seen him with a straight face.

“I uh…”

He looks straight ahead through the scratched and broken windshield. Bits of concrete from our escape attempt cover the dashboard, and some of it is lodged into the glass. “Never mind. You can do me one favor, though.”

“Anything within my power. It’s yours.”

“Don’t tell King about this,” he says. It comes out as a sheepish high-pitched question.

“Why? He wouldn’t want to know that you broke me out?”

King was a friend of Belly’s and a good ally to Bedlam. It wouldn’t make sense that he’d be against helping me. I’d do the same for any of them if the roles were reversed.

Preppy shakes his head. “Oh no, he knows I broke you out. I just sent him a text to tell him it’s over. The grand escape is complete.” He steps on the gas. “But he don’t gotta know I used his truck to do it.”

T.M. enjoys writing what she calls sexy ‘wrong side of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines.

Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay.

Confessions: the Princess, the Prick, & the Priest was like an extended epilogue after all the suspense and drama that we’d experiences with this threesome in the first three books of their story. It was so nice to get to check in on them beginning, and living, their happily ever after.

Confessions: the Princess, the Prick, & the Priest is drama free, angst-free, and really just a wonderful way to wrap up a series that was so hard on the people living it. Robbie, Julien, and Priest had already been through so much, overcome so many things, healed so completely, it was good to see them finally living out from under the clouds they’d been covered by for so long.

I loved Robbie’s family and how accepting they were of his less than conventional relationship. It was also so heartwarming to see how completely and lovingly they brought Julien and Priest into the fold. They both needed that kind of unconditional love and acceptance; I’m sure finally having that kind of unfettered welcome helped to heal the final broken pieces in both men.

Confessions: the Princess, the Prick, & the Priest is the fourth and final book in Ella Frank’s Confessions series. These books are one continuous story told in four installments and must be read in order. The Confessions series is a spin-off from Ms. Frank’s Temptation series, but that series doesn’t need to be read before reading this one. Confessions: the Princess, the Prick, & the Priest is written in third-person limited perspective, alternatively following Robbie, Julien, and Priest’s thoughts.

CHAPTER ONE

I’m not sure why everyone dreads their thirties.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s going to be
the best decade ever ~ Robbie

Six Months Later…

“LOVERS, I’M HOME,” Robbie Bianchi called out to his boyfriends, as he juggled several shopping bags in one hand and kicked the front door shut behind him. He stuffed his car keys into the pocket of his shorts, and as he evened out what he was carrying, he took the stairs that led him up to the first floor of their new home.

With the same smile on his face that he’d left with that morning, Robbie headed across the hardwood floors past the dining room, and into the kitchen, where he spotted a note waiting for him: We’re upstairs, princesse. Come find us when you get home.

Robbie grinned at the messy crown drawn above the i in princesse, but then quickly did as he was told. With one hand on the steel rail, he took the stairs two at a time, and as he reached the second floor where the bedroom was located, he walked inside to find it empty except for the fish swimming around the tank that lined the wall facing their bed.

Dropping his shopping bags on the end of the mattress, Robbie headed up to the final floor, where he knew his men were waiting for him. He opened up the glass door that led to the penthouse deck, and when he stepped outside and the warm rays washed over him, Robbie took in a breath of fresh air.

Ah, he’d always loved summer. Everything about it. The sun, the smell of the freshly cut grass, and the clothes—or lack thereof—Robbie thought, as he reached for the edge of his white tank top and drew it over his head.

As he tucked it into the back of his shorts, Robbie scanned the wide deck, his eyes roaming over the wooden slat floor, the hot tub over in the corner, and the glistening water of the lap pool surrounded by the potted greenery bordering their rooftop oasis.

This space had been the final selling point with all three of them when they’d made the decision to leave the condo after what had happened there with Jimmy. It was the perfect place for Julien to relax and do his yoga, for Priest, who loved a good soak to clear his mind, and for Robbie, for whom it was all about the calm he got from finally seeing his men happy and at peace. And that was exactly how he found one of them right now. There, stretched out on one of the sun loungers, was the brand-new reason that Robbie loved summer—an almost-naked Julien Thornton.

Dressed in tight, black, barely there swim shorts that left little—okay, nothing—to the imagination, the only other thing Julien was wearing was a pair of Aviator sunglasses. His rich, olive-colored skin was glistening with water droplets as he lay sprawled out with his hands behind his head, and oh my God was he a feast for the eyes.

As Robbie walked to the end of the lounger, his eyes roamed up Julien’s toned legs to his muscular thighs, and ended at the bulge that tight material was cupping like a glove.

Oh yes, this was hands down the best part about summer now, and luckily for Robbie and Priest, tanning was a favorite pastime of their seriously sexy Frenchman.

Bonjour, princesse.” Julien’s honey-toned voice wrapped around Robbie, informing him that he’d been caught staring. But he didn’t care—not one little bit.

“One second, please. I’m concentrating here,”Robbie said, his gaze trailing up all he could see to finally land on Julien’s face. “Now, sorry, what were you saying?”

Julien chuckled as Robbie walked alongside him. “Bonjour, princesse.”

“Oh, yes,” Robbie said, and bent down to brush a kiss across Julien’s lips. “Bonjour, Jules.”

Robbie went to straighten, but before he got too far away, Julien took hold of the back of his neck and craned up for a deeper kiss. Robbie’s lips parted, and Julien slipped his tongue inside, making Robbie’s cock jerk to attention, as he braced his hand on the back of the lounger and sank into the deliciousness that was all Julien.

Relationships are complex.
Love ever-changing.
And when it comes to rules of the heart,
they were made to be broken…

That’s what Robert Antonio Bianchi was telling himself, anyway.
Otherwise, he really had no excuse for what—or who—he’d done.

No excuse, except for his lonely heart, a pitcher of margaritas, four Bitter Bitches, and the apparent need to confess all his weaknesses to the two men he knew would bring him nothing but trouble.

But trouble was nothing new.
Just ask his crazy sisters or any of his friends, and they’d be the first to tell you:
If there was a bad decision to be made, Robbie always had a knack for making it.

And thus begins the story of the priest, the princess, and the prick.

People are complex.
Love a double-edged sword.
And when it comes to a broken heart, there are no rules, only time…

For the past eight years, Julien Thornton has been living with a secret. One that only a handful of people know about.

To the outside world, he has it all.
A thriving career. A loving husband. And a face that the American public fell for by the millions, on a reality show that inadvertently saved his life.

But behind the shine of celebrity, behind the easygoing nature, a crippling truth fills Julien with pain and self-loathing. It’s a truth that he fights to overcome daily with the help of his husband, Joel Priestley, and now their boyfriend, Robbie Bianchi.

But unlike Priest, Robbie doesn’t know what he’s helping Julien to fight. He doesn’t know what Julien did all those years ago. And with the anniversary of his sister’s death fast approaching, the time for explanations is running out.

And thus the question: will the princess be able to forgive the prick as the priest once did?

Only time will tell.

I am complex.

My love is all-encompassing.
And when it comes to my heart, there is only one rule:
Don’t mess with what’s mine.

Until the age of seven, I was Joel Alexander Donovan, son of Jimmy.
The man who terrorized a town and made its citizens fear
the very ground he walked on. Including me,
the day I realized that ground ran red with blood.

At age eighteen, I became Priest.
A man without a past.
A man determined to right the wrongs of my father.
A man who never believed anyone could love the son of such a monster.

But then a thief stole my heart.
A sweetheart lit up my world.
And I forgot for a moment you should never turn your back on your enemy.

And thus begins a lesson to those who would seek to harm: Never underestimate what the Priest will do to protect the Princess and the Prick.
