From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance—and the enchanting music that inspires one young woman to put her life back together.
At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…
From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to become another bestseller and long-lasting fan favorite.
MAYBE SOMEDAY ALBUM – GRIFFIN PETERSON
I am a music lover and you will rarely find me without music playing in the background. The general exception is when I am reading as I need quiet to experience the story. Maybe Someday is the exception to my exception as the music heightened this experience exponentially. Even now, as I write this review, the music plays while I reflect on the experience of Maybe Someday – both the story and the album.
As the words of the songs infiltrate my mind, the words of the story permeate my heart. This story will remind you why Colleen Hoover is so successful. She develops characters that you will fall in love with and creates stories that will grip your heart. For me personally, she has raised the bar with Maybe Someday. This is my favorite Colleen Hoover book to date.
I don’t need to tell you about the characters. I have no doubt you will love Sydney, Ridge, Warren, Maggie, Brennan and Bridgette. I don’t need to tell you about the story. I have no doubt you will love it as much as I do. However, I do need to tell you about the experience of Maybe Someday.
It’s hard to put into words just how profoundly this story affected me. Reading this story was an experience like no other. I experienced various emotions with this story, some more prolific than others. When I reached a part in the story where there was a reference to a song, I played that song. In doing so, I felt as if I was right there living in that moment, experiencing what was taking place in the story. I was no longer just reading this story. I felt the words resonate in the depths of my soul while I felt the chords reverberate in my bones.
This experience was absolutely perfect and I am in awe of this fusion of my two favorite things: reading and music. While my words cannot do justice to express how much I love the experience of this story, I will encourage you to have the experience for yourself. For those of you who will be reading Maybe Someday, I offer the following tips:
- Timing – clear your schedule and get comfortable as you are going to want to read it from beginning to end
- Music Source – make sure you have the Maybe Someday music ready to go depending on how you will be reading the story. I purchased the album as soon as it was available.
- Tissues – there were copious amounts of tears, both sad and happy, so be prepared.
To Colleen Hoover, I thank you for giving me such a wonderful story. To Griffin Peterson, I thank you for giving me such wonderful music. Your journey has been my ultimate reading experience and I adore you both for that.
