Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan ~ COVER REVEAL

broke her heart ten years ago and left town.

She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted.

But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.

***

He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history?

But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up.

News flash, buddy: I am over you.

Flirting with Forever by Kendall Ryan ~ COVER REVEAL

𝗡𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻.

𝗡𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘅.

𝗡𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽.

This is the oath I took in solidarity with my best friend after a particularly heinous breakup left him shattered.

No problem, right?

𝘞𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨.

Because lately, I’ve begun developing big, messy feelings for our best female friend who we both swore was off-limits since we were sixteen years old.

I shouldn’t notice the way her hair turns golden when it catches the light, I shouldn’t make it a goal to see her dimples when she laughs, I shouldn’t find her knowledge on current affairs so sexy.

I’m pretty sure she’s oblivious, which is a good thing, I try to convince myself.
Until one night after too many cocktails when we fall into bed together.

I’m left with an awkward morning-after, and one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make.

Confess how I feel, and potentially lose both of my best friends in the process, or bury my feelings and watch her move on?

How can something so wrong feel so right?

NEW RELEASE!! Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan ~ Sarah A’s Review

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.

Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.

I was THAT girl.

You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth with her two best friends—the ones who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.

By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, and handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like French fries, so there’s that.

He took me home and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life, well until it came to a screeching, and rather unwelcome halt.

There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking:
“What are you doing to my daddy?”

Just kill me now…… or so I thought.

Come to find out the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

Amazon US | B&N | iBooks | Kobo | GooglePlay | Amazon UK | Audible

Mister Tonight was a fun, light, read. It’s relatively short, so it would make for a great book to take to the pool while you’re watching the kiddos splash around. You know, if you don’t mind reading some pretty steamy intimate scenes in public. Kendall Ryan delivered a great angst-free romance with Mister Tonight.

There were some serious laugh-out-loud moments in this book, four-year-old daughter walking in on ‘adult snuggle time,’ anyone? Little Maddie was adorable, precocious, and maybe a little well-spoken and mature for her age. Her constant blunt candor combined with the innocence of a child layered the story with a layer of amusement that can only be reached with the help of kids.

I loved Kate’s independence, her confidence in herself. I loved that she had no reservations about knowing what she wanted and going for it. She was a fascinating character, and I’d love to have the lack of inhibitions regarding sexuality she had. She gave me something to strive for in asking for what I want. I did, however, have a hard time understanding her reluctance to have a committed relationship, she was so terrified of the idea it seemed like there had to be more going on that the throwaway explanation given in the book, it just seemed incongruous.

I’m a sucker for a single dad, especially one as involved as Hunter. He never discounted Maddie or Kate’s abilities to take care of themselves and strove to ensure he wasn’t encroaching on either of their individualism. It clear from the off he valued more than just a quick lay or a night off from his kid. There was a quiet intensity about him – and the way he loved – that jumped off the pages without ever having to be detailed. He really was quite a catch; Kate couldn’t have done better.

After reading a slew of emotionally exhausting books, Mister Tonight was a nice reprieve. It was sweet enough to keep me interested, funny enough to lift my spirit, and romantic enough to make me swoon. I appreciated how short and sweet it was, and love to load up on these kinds of for the summer. My favorite part of the book was how effortless the whole thing felt. Kate’s refusal to let them put expectations on their relationship made it so much easier for them to be open and honest, ultimately it allowed them to build a solid foundation for the more she never wanted.

Kendall Ryan delivered a great summertime read with Mister Tonight. It was written with such ease and comfort, it felt like cuddling up with an old friend. I love how easily Ms. Ryan shifts back and forth between her more intense work and these lighter romcoms.

fucking loved it. The idea of a man devoted to his kid had them panting for days. But casual, no-strings hookups? To them, me being a dad screamed one of two things: I was either an irresponsible asshole who couldn’t properly wrap it up, or I was a total commitment addict trying to lure them in with my adorable four-year-old child in need of a new mama. Either way, it usually didn’t go over well. But so far, Kate was handling it fine.

Then she crossed the room toward me, and a single thought pervaded my brain.

Fuck, she’s sexy.

All those curves and her throaty laugh, coupled with her confidence? I was a total sucker for a confident woman who knew what she wanted.

“Happy birthday,” I whispered, placing my hands on her waist and drawing her in close.

Just because this would most likely be a one-time thing didn’t mean I wanted to rush through it. Quite the opposite, actually. I wanted to savor and enjoy every minute of this. Starting with the perfect kiss.

“It’s almost midnight,” she murmured, her lips just inches from mine.

Placing one hand on her cheek, I guided her mouth to mine, sealing my lips over hers in a slow, soft kiss.

She responded perfectly, opening her mouth in a silent invitation for my tongue to slide against hers. My hands found those curves wrapped under that black fuck-me dress I’d been admiring, and God, she felt even better under my palms than I could have imagined. Soft and warm and so inviting.

I pressed one more slow kiss to her lips and pulled back to study her reaction. I rarely did this kind of thing. Having her here was surreal . . . and really fucking turning me on, knowing what was probably about to happen.

“Can I get you something to drink?” I asked, slipping my hand around her waist. If she’d changed her mind or wanted to slow things down, I wanted her to know that was fine too.

“I can think of other things I’d rather be doing with my mouth,” she replied, her voice low and sultry as she ran her fingertips over my chest.

God, I love a woman who knows what she wants.

Love Machine by Kendall Ryan ~ COVER REVEAL

A best-friends-to-lovers standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

After a rather uncomfortable ladies’ night involving a cucumber-wielding instructor with judgy eyes, I’m forced to admit my weaknesses. Rather than point blame at my lack of a sex life, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work.

As a junior executive who’s clawed her way up the corporate ladder, failure is not in my vocabulary. Confident and bold in other areas of my life, I have to admit it’s time to up my bedroom game.

Asking my friend Slate Cruz is really the only option. Slate is like a walking billboard for sex. The man gets more ass than a toilet seat. There’s no way I’ll want more from this playboy than a little inspiration to revive my inner sex kitten.

Except, what happens if I do?

NEW RELEASE!! Bro Code by Kendall Ryan ~ Sarah A’s Review

There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.

Don’t be a douche.

Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.

Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and ten years younger than me.

She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.
Falling for her could ruin everything.

Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.

I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.

I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

Amazon US | iBooks | Amazon UK | Amazon PAPERBACK

Bro Code was a fun, fast, and effortless.  It would make for an excellent beach read.  Ava and Barrett were adorable.  I had such a great time reading their story and ‘watching’ them navigate the intricacies of their family lives and find a way to be together even when they thought it was against some antiquated moral code.

Bro Code is a standalone novel.  There are no ties to other books or series, though I wouldn’t mind getting to know more about Ava’s brother, his story seems very fascinating.  Bro Code is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Ava and Barrett.

Ava and Barrett made a great couple.  They both were so strong and independent, but each had a vulnerability that made them endearing.  They had a fun back and forth, and when they were trying to avoid their chemistry, I loved that they didn’t avoid those kinds of interactions.  It made the simmering tension beneath the surface feel more intense and served to demonstrate how good they were when they were together.

Obviously, as Bro Code is the title of this book, it played a large role in this book in keeping Barrett from pursuing Ava.  It was frustrating, of course it was, I’ve never understood why a man wouldn’t want the person they are closest to – outside of their family – to not become a part of their family by being in a relationship with their sibling, but boys are strange, and this was a perfect example of their peculiar logic.  It was interesting to observe how Ava and Barrett explored their connection and fall for one another.

My only wish for this book would have been to find out more about Barrett’s family and everything that had transpired there.  It seems like such a rich vein to mine, and it was barely touched on.  There was enough information in the book to begin to understand the strained dynamic, but it felt like there was so much more going on there and I would have liked to have figured it out.

Kendall Ryan is a diverse writer, she easily slips from romcom to emotional to erotic and back again, seamlessly.  Her stories are engrossing and entertaining.  Her characters are fierce, smart, and strong.  I always enjoy reading her words and find myself consistently wanting more.

NOW AVAILABLE!! Tempting Little Tease by Kendall Ryan ~ Sarah A’s Review

A hot new standalone romance from New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan.

She’s the tutor I hired to teach me Italian.

She’s way too young for me, but she’s also gorgeous, bright and filled with a curiosity about life that I find incredibly refreshing.

It’s fucking adorable.

I’m old enough to know better, but this pretty young thing tempts me beyond belief. And for the first time in my life, I can see myself falling.

***

Is this what it’s like to be pursued by an older man? The complete confidence, the lack of expectations, the sincerity?

My God, it’s exhilarating.

Quinn Kingsley is totally unexpected. I’m moving to Italy in three weeks to teach English, and while I never expected something so real to develop between us so quickly, our chemistry is undeniable.

There’s something so sexy about this back and forth he and I share. Flirting with this man is like playing with fire, and I’m bound to get burned.

Io sono attratto da te. I’m attracted to you, he tells me.

But is our attraction enough to get us through the complications of a massive age gap and an international love affair?

Only one way to find out…

Amazon US | B&N | iBooks | Kobo

Tempting Little Tease was a super quick read.  I was finished with it two hours after starting, all while dealing with my kids at the same time.  It bodes well for the novella (I’m sure this can’t be novel length) that I was so invested in it that I continued reading throughout my regular daily tasks.  Alessandra and Quinn’s story was sweet, short, and sexy.  It would be a great way to spend an afternoon.

Tempting Little Tease is the fourth book in Kendall Ryan’s Forbidden Desires series.  After the first two books, which both focus on Gavin and Emma’s relationship, each book focuses on a different brother and can be read as a standalone.  However, the boys are all brothers, so reading each book in order gives greater insight into what makes each man tick.  Tempting Little Tease is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Quinn and Alessandra

Quinn’s story was the lightest of the Kingsley brothers’ stories.  There was never any question of the pair’s feelings about one another.  I never once considered there was something that may stand between the two of them and their happily ever after.  Alessandra and Quinn’s story was one of immediate attraction and insta-love, but it very much worked for them.  I greatly appreciated the fact they were both so open with everything, and there wasn’t any secret keeping, as those stories where the climax is completely predicated on a miscommunication can be frustrating.

Tempting Little Tease was a surface story.  If that’s a thing, if it’s not, I’m making it one, and I will define it as a story that only scratches the surface of a potentially much larger tale.  The story was only about the beginning stages of the relationship, never really delving into the characters beyond a few surface details.  It worked in a way where I was satisfied with Quinn and Alessandra together, but I love digging in deep with my characters and wish we could have seen more about who they were as people, outside of their relationship and respective careers.

I wish we could have got to know more of the inner workings of Quinn.  Throughout the first two books he was such an enigma, and I’m still not sure I know who he is as a person.  He seems to be a great romantic partner and an attentive lover, but I still don’t feel like I know what is beyond all of that beautiful façade that is Quinn.

Thus far, I’ve really enjoyed Kendall Ryan’s Forbidden Desires series, but Temping Little Tease didn’t stand up to its predecessors.  It felt too light to fit in with the other stories, and the character development wasn’t nearly as in depth.  I still have great hope for the final book in the series and fervently hope it returns to the same tone and intensity we got in the first couple of books in the series.

NOW AVAILABLE!! Baby Daddy by Kendall Ryan ~ Sarah A’s Review

hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

We met in a trapped elevator.

Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.

I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?

At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.

After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.

But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.

This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

Amazon US | B&NiBooks | KoboAmazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA

Baby Daddy is the twenty-first century ‘You’ve Got Mail.’ Seriously, I couldn’t help but picture Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks while reading this book, despite the characters being described as looking vastly different than them. That connection made this book feel like revisiting something I’d loved when I was a kid.

Baby Daddy is a stand-alone novel. It is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Jenna & Emmett.

Baby Daddy was amusing and light. I found myself smiling at the interactions between Jenna and Emmett frequently. They had such fun chemistry and the way they challenged each other was endearing. I enjoyed watching them fumble their way through their strict, no emotions arrangement and discover along the way there was so much more between them than either had ever experienced or expected.

This book didn’t cross any revolutionary literary boundaries, it was easy and formulaic, but sometimes that kind of story is exactly what I need. Something that is going to entertain me, make me laugh, and just allow me a few hours of getting out of my head.

The only wish I have about this book would have been that it delved more into Jenna and Emmett’s pasts, particularly their childhoods. The broad strokes were covered enough to explain their particular fears and desires, but I had so many more questions. I’m inquisitive by nature, though, so I always find myself wanting to delve into the inner workings of what makes people tick.

My favorite thing about Kendall Ryan is her ability to write across several subgenres of romance without hesitation. She can write a romcom just as easily as she writes emotional contemporary romance.
