We are so happy Anie Michael’s new book is live and I can’t wait to share my review next week for The Presence of Grace! — Whitney
The Presence of Grace by Anie Michaels
Series: Love and Loss #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 18, 2016
Devon Roberts was familiar with loss. He’d lost his wife and, in a way, he’d lost himself. Moving through life with two kids, doing everything he could to make life good again for his son and daughter, meant romance was the last thing on his mind.
Until he saw her.
She was the first person to make him feel as though loving someone else wouldn’t be wrong.
Even though he thought his loss was unbearable, he never could have fathomed she might have had more slip through her fingers.
He’d fought before; fought for his family, for his love, and for his life. But her fight, although buried deep and festering within, was a fight he wasn’t sure he had the strength to overcome.
All he knew for sure was that his life was better in the presence of Grace.

Whitney’s Four Star Review
I’ve been wanting Devon’s story ever since The Absence of Olivia was released! The hot, single dad wasn’t always the most lovable character but it was easy to forgive because of his past. The loss of his wife and complete upheaval of his life would cause any man pain and confusion.
I cried at the beginning of this book and it started off on great footing. Devon immediately garners sympathy and Grace is a great heroine from the first time we meet her. A schoolteacher with a past, her gentleness and shy demeanor are an obvious match for Devon and his children.
Overall, this is a sweet story of two people with devastating loss who learn to take chances and love again. There are some sexy times and that is nicely balanced with emotional storyline. The story is a bit predictable and slowed down a few times but I was very happy with the end. The author’s writing flows well and there are some very cute moment with the kids. Devon deserves happiness and Grace is the perfect woman to help him get there!
The Presence of Grace is a stand alone but features characters from The Absence of Olivia. I recommend reading in order! — Whitney
