SPOTLIGHT REVIEW – Too Hot to Handle by Tessa Bailey

Too hot to handle cover

Synopsis

When rescue looks like a whole lot of trouble . . .

The road trip was definitely a bad idea. Having already flambéed her culinary career beyond recognition, Rita Clarkson is now stranded in God-Knows-Where, New Mexico, with a busted-ass car and her three temperamental siblings, who she hasn’t seen in years. When rescue shows up—six-feet-plus of hot, charming sex on a motorcycle—Rita’s pretty certain she’s gone from the frying pan right into the fire . . .

Jasper Ellis has a bad boy reputation in this town, and he loathes it. The moment he sees Rita, though, Jasper knows he’s about to be sorely tempted. There’s something real between them. Something raw. And Jasper has only a few days to show Rita that he isn’t just for tonight—he’s forever.

Whitney’s Four Star Review

Too Hot to Handle is spicy and sexy start to Tessa Bailey’s newest series. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by her so this was a no brainer.

Rita and Jasper are bot hot all right… hot messes. Jasper is a reformed man about town. After realizing that none of the women he spends time with nor his small town respect him, he swears off women. Until he meets Rita and realizes that a she could be his shot at a real relationship.

Rita is trying to keep her crazy family intact after their mother’s death and she is a hoot. Feeling lost, they are on a road trip trying to discover who they each are. And though this is Rita and Jasper’s story, we get enough info on her siblings to fall in love with them.

And that’s why I gave this four stars. I actually liked the side characters more than I connected with Rita and Jasper. I just never quite felt their connection to each other though it was more obvious by the end. I’m glad I stuck with the story and can’t wait till the next book!
