Blog Tour/Review-Tamed by K.A. Robinson

Tamed, Torn Series #5, is now live! This book focuses on Adam and Amber. Adam is the guitarist with a wild streak in the Torn Series band, Breaking The Hunger. Amber is the best friend of the main character of Torn, Chloe. Both of these characters have a wild streak, something you’re aware of if you’ve read the other Torn Series books.

Tamed can be read as a standalone.

I hope you like your rockers a whole lot dirty, because with Adam, that’s what you’ll get.

Mistakes—my life has been full of them. Time and time again, I’ve tried to change, tried to make the right choices, but it doesn’t matter. I always screw up.I hoped that Adam would be different, that he wouldn’t be a mistake. Our relationship was supposed to be about sex and nothing more.

Fun, easy, simple—that was what we wanted.

But things are never simple, not for me.

Adam changed me. He made me the person I am today. I hate who I am and what I’ve become. I’m not proud of the things I’ve done.

I thought my greatest mistake would be falling in love with him.

I was wrong.

My greatest mistake is much, much worse.

I’ve lost control.

I have a secret I can’t hide.

It’s going to destroy everything.

My name is Amber, and this is my story.

 Sarah’s 5 Star Review

Tamed is the 5th book in K.A. Robinson’s Torn series. I have to say that this series is definitely one of my favorites. The characters and storyline are very well written. Tamed is Adam and Amber’s story. Tamed can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get the full effect of the story. I was quite surprised how emotional this book was. I laughed, cried, and at times wanted to smack the characters upside the head.

Amber had a relationship that went wrong and now she has decided that she wants to avoid them at all costs. She thinks that no strings attached relationships are the best thing for her. She is afraid of getting hurt again by someone she loves. She is the best friend to Chloe so we do know a little bit about her from the other books. She is attracted to Adam who in Drake’s band. She is attracted to Adam but he she knows he sleeps with a different girl every night and never really talk to her when they all get together.

“Love isn’t a happily ever after…It’s a death sentence.” “It depends on how you look at it. Some people, like them, need it. Some people, like me…well, I’m better off without it.”

Adam is a hot rocker who has girls falling at his feet all the time. He tried the relationship thing years ago  and also had a horrible experience. He enjoys the single life and being able to sleep with whoever he wants whenever he wants. He is attracted to Amber but never makes a move on her. One night they get together and decide to give a no strings attached relationship a try.  They never expected to start to have feelings for each other. Will they be able to get over their past issues and make a relationship work?

“You scare the sh** out of me. You always have. The moment I laid eyes on you, I knew there was something different about you. I knew you’d change everything for me.”

I loved all the twists and turns this story took. It had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. It was fun to read about the rest of the characters in this series. I love the close bond that all of these friends share and how they are always there for each other.  I am excited to see what K.A. is working on next.
