ALP Excerpt

I wrap my arms around her, pulling her to me as I begin to move us to the music.
“Are you trying to seduce me, Mr. Roberts?” she smiles.
“Is it working?” I grin.
“Always, you don’t need to try though, you had me months ago.” she tells me, resting her head on my chest.
We continue to move to the music, dancing our way around the lounge, over to the window and back again. If I could take a snapshot of key moments in our relationship, right now would be one of those moments. As the song comes to an end and another starts up, I step back, looking down into her beautiful face.
“You are so incredibly beautiful, Sophie.” I tell her.
“Thank you.” she blushes.

ALP Abt the Author
KA Hobbs lives with her husband in Essex. When she isn’t lost in a book or creating one, she loves to cook, swim and shop. Her happiest times are always when she is surrounded by family and friends. She is a little obsessed with the Tudors and would love to go back to that period in time.

One day, while watching TV, a scene came to her, completely out of the blue. She could see the scene unfolding, could picture the characters so clearly. She couldn’t get to her laptop quick enough and spent hours writing not only that scene, but lots of others too.
She will happily admit to being grumpy when she doesn’t get to write, she loves her characters and spending time listening to what they have to say. KA Hobbs is currently working on other books in The Connected Series.

Keep up to date with new releases from the connection series on Facebook and Twitter.

I fell in love with Doug, Sophie and Abigail when I read Doubt. The characters stayed with after reading it. When I picked up Assured it was like I never left there world. This book picks up right where Doubt ends and was an absolute joy to read.
I had every emotion you can possible think of reading this book. I was sad and angry, happy and tearful, ready to throw my kindle in one second to finally falling for their love once again.
This book is actually my favorite of the two because it gives you real life problems and reactions. Like would you be able to handle a relationship with a man who had a child he didn’t know about thrown in his lap right about the time you lost your child? It would be hard wouldn’t it? These characters have their ups and downs and try their hardest to handle the roller coaster that has become their life.
I was actually able to put my self in position and her reactions felt genuine and true. The way she was withdrawn and distant at times is true to how a relationship would actually be in life. They way she loves with her whole heart and to her toes makes your heart sing for them and leaves you hoping with everything you have that they can make it through.
I give this book 5 stars.

This is my 4.5 star review
I was approached by a friend to help a friend of hers out with a cover reveal of her debut story. I agreed and said I would be more than happy to review it as well not know anything about the book. I am so glad I did. This book was full of everything a good book needs and one beautiful little girl with a heart and the ability to love as big as the sky itself.
Sophie and Doug are a couple that are so real and true to themselves unlike any other book couple I have ever read about. The love they share is so strong and unending that even when they get given the best and worst news on the planet they are able to hold on to the love they have to pull through it. When the worst possible thing could happen to Sophie it’s hard for her to believe that Abigail, just a young child, can help her through all the bad in her world at the moment.
KA Hobbs is going to an author to watch for once she takes off. I personally can’t wait to read more from her. She has a way to write a story that has a lot, and I mean a lot, of steamy sex in it and make it so the actually story shines first and foremost. Her writing style is one that you could actually take the sex out and it would still be a strong story. The characters are strong and hold their own. You will fall in love with them as well as cry when they do.
The only reason I did not rate this book a 5 is because the copy I received was a rough edit and had a lot of editing errors I have been told after talking with the author that it has been fixed.
I reviewed this book for A Literary Perusal Book Blog in exchange for an honest opinion.
Come join the fun
