Title: With This Heart
Author: R.S. Grey
Released: March 27, 2014
Genre: Contemporary/NA Romance
If someone had told me a year ago that I was about to fall in love, go on an epic road trip, ride a Triceratops, sing on a bar, and lose my virginity, I would have assumed they were on drugs.
Well, that is, until I met Beckham.
Beck was mostly to blame for my recklessness. Gorgeous, clever, undeniably charming Beck barreled into my life as if it were his mission to make sure I never took living for granted. He showed me that there were no boundaries, rules were for the spineless, and a kiss was supposed to happen when I least expected.
Beck was the plot twist that took me by surprise. Two months before I met him, death was knocking at my door. I’d all but given up my last scrap of hope when suddenly, I was given a second chance at life. This time around, I wasn’t going to let it slip through my fingers.
We set out on a road trip with nothing to lose and no guarantees of tomorrow.
Our road trip was about young, reckless love. The kind of love that burns bright.
The kind of love that no road-map could bring me back from.
**Recommended for ages 17+ due to language and sexual situations.**
Patricia’s 5 STAR Review
This is a story about second chances and choosing to live the kind of life that leaves you with no regrets. It’s about being brave in a scary big world and stepping outside your comfort zone. It’s about first loves, first kisses, and all the other firsts that young love experiences. But above all, it’s about not taking anything for granted.
Love will make you reckless. It can drag out parts of you that common sense and fear usually keep hidden away. Because love is selfless and selfish.
Abby and Beck’s witty banter made the characters fun. While they were attracted to one another, they were drawn to each other for reasons that went beyond the surface.
His default setting was happy. That’s what I loved about Beck. He looked at life like it was a journey, like we were meant to enjoy every step of the way.
Abby was given a second chance at life and simply existing was not enough. She struggled with confidence in her decision making skills because most decisions had been made for her up until this point. She was not ungrateful nor was she resentful. Abby just wanted the chance to be young and reckless. She wanted to live for today and not have regrets.
I’d been given a second chance. A chance to make dreams and see them through. A chance to make mistakes and fight to make them right.
Beck was this incredibly sexy and thoughtful person. He never judged or made Abby feel inadequate for having lived such a sheltered life. He wanted to show her the world so she could experience life to its fullest. I believe they were perfect for each other in every way and I adored how Beck fell for and came to love Abby.
This story touched my heart and I thoroughly enjoyed Abby’s journey. There were several emotional moments but I spent a large amount of the story reading with a smile on my face. From the witty banter to Abby’s naïve ways, I adored these characters. Even now as I write this review, I am still smiling. This is one of my absolute favorite reads of 2014 and I am looking forward to what is next from RS Grey.

About the Author
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, metaphors and similes, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
